On July 1st we had our first of many (I hope) dedictated family gatherings.

July 1st was also Canada Day so Samantha, Morgan and Ashleigh decided to honor our hostess by wearing red and white and in true Bruin Boy fashion we painted maple leaves on their bodies.

The Pool was the center of the 100+ degree afternoon with the big girls showing the little girls formation... that is when you line up for a picture in age order no matter how tall everyone is..... it is very fitting that this was the gathering when the art of formation is passed on to the next group of grandchildren.

This is the last time it will all be easy with everyone in town all the sisters and cousins together by the end of the summer Celia will be in Portland, Samantha in Israel and Morgan back in Florida...

The first wave of the next generation really looks up to the older girls but I don't think they caought on with the age order thing.....

maybe they were doing formation based on who their fathers are?

becasue thier fathers can't seem to get their formation right either. ...

Then we had the big girls trying to do formation on a float... it didn't quite work but they had a good time together
