Seder time at gled Hill

Yes that is Uncle Marty at the head of the Passover Table... and yes he is the one who wrote and lead the Seder. And he did a great job... and Stacy is now qualified to host her own Seder without me.... it was three days of cooking but she did a great job. Dinner was delicious and on time even though some of our guests were not.

Now I have to preface this with a few details...first Stacy and I were working in the kitchen since last Wednesday to get ready for Seder and all the while Marty was working in the garage and we were not allowed in there, o.k. I was not allowed in. But.... it was a good thing and we were pleasantly surprised when Marty handed out the scripts for the Passover Play according to Marty..... originally starring Charelton Heston (of blessed memory) who was not able to read his part so Marty stood in for him. Now I must apologize because the the best of the videos won't log in so... I have to see if I can get someone to edit it shorter. Until then here is the first few scenes.

pulling out the passover boxes

It started many years ago when I first moved out on my own...

my mom gave me a passover box. Nothing special just a place to put all the items I would use during the week of Passover.

Over time the number of boxes that I needed has grown.

First it was just a supply of hagadas and a wine glass or two then I added a recipe that worked and the number of recipes grew over time it is now a 3" binder and a few cookbooks.

Then we added a pot or two a hand mixer and a few containers to store food in.

and then my seder plate and then when my parents moved to a smaller house and as the only daughter I inherited all of my moms passover supplies and the number of boxes grew.

and then after we moved back in the house in 2003 and we took the kitchen kosher the number of boxes for passover grew even more.

Last year we had a little contest to see which holiday had more boxes Chanukah's or passover and Passover won with 12 boxes. This year we are up to 13.

Bubbie's answering machine

I always love it when there is a funny answering machine I remember when Sam left for Israel and Celia left for Portland Ashleigh had a great cell phone message.

So with that said Bubbie's new answering machine message was not quite up to the standard that Ashleigh and Morgan have come to expect....
So we had our last dinner at Pizza Cookery (another Morgan must do) and then ice cream at Baskin Robbins where the messege was worked out.
First the girls had to show Bubbie the real song
But then there was Take 1 followed by Take 2 and then the Final Cut

Shabbos at Bubbies

Morgans visit was coming to an end and none of the Aunts, Uncles or Cousins had seen her yet... so what else was there to do but have shabbos at Bubbies.

if it's Wednesday it must be

Toilet Day

o.k. toilet instaltion day

It actually started with funny face pancakes and then a visit to the eye doctor for Barry and Morgan.

But the real fun happened whent he girls came home and found an extra unused toilet bowl sitting on the front lawn.

I am not going to try to explain to much.... but the house does have 2 new toilets and the back yard has a planter
