I don't like this side of the trip

8:07 a.m. Monday June 23, 2008
why do I mark this moment... it was the moment that Sam realized "she did not like this side of the trip"
What side of the trip is that?
The side that stays here and doesn't get to go on the plane.
and had Ashleigh still been her (instead of on the other side of the trip) she would have said "Ha know you know how I felt!"

So Long, Fare Well, We'll See You In Six Weeks

it was early... The Bear and I were up at 5 (I don't want to tell you when we got to sleep). The girls were still asleep (o.k. some of them) were still asleep all the way to breakfast (Sam even slept most of the way home).

By 7:00 a.m. we were having breakfast and by 7:45 we were at the airport and by 8:15 they were through security and on their way. And the schedule would have worked great except for the fact that there were thunderstorms in New York and their flight was delayed and hour .... But I did hear from them and they are on the ground and in USY's hands.

It's an Adventure now!

2 days 2 go

so much to pack and so little poundage....
think about this formula

2 teenage girls (16 and 17)

traveling for 6 weeks 4 countries

a weight limit of 40 pounds (including suitcase)

and a size limit on that suitcase 26x26x10 that's it.

It's not an easy task... and we had help from the whole family...
